MOVIE REVIEWS

There's a solid chance The Rock will feel some glop at Saturday's Kids Choice Awards. Former WWE wrestler and "Race to Witch Mountain" star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will host the 22nd annual slime-filled spectacle at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL and HAIRSPRAY heartthrob Zac Efron stars in this comedy from director Adam Shankman. Matthew Perry (FRIENDS) stars as 36-year-old Mike O'Donnell, a man who isn't happy with how his life has turned out. So with a little magic, he turns into his 17-year-old self (Efron) and gets a second chance. 17 AGAIN also stars Leslie Mann (KNOCKED UP), Thomas Lennon (RENO 911!), and Michelle Trachtenberg (GOSSIP GIRL). Amber Tamblyn is in final negotiations to star in quot;Main Street, quot; a Southern drama set to start shooting next month. In quot;12 Rounds, quot; a fortuitous confluence of luck and pluck allows lowly New Orleans beat cop Danny Fisher (John Cena) to arrest infernally clever Irish arms dealer Miles Jackson (Aiden Gillen), who#39;s been leading the FBI a merry chase for three years. Narrated by James Earl Jones, this documentary from Disneynature follows the path of the sun as it explores our world. Incredible photography allows EARTH to focus on a trio of animal mothers and their children: polar bears, elephants, and humpback whales. EARTH will be released on Earth Day 2009. When he showed up to begin shooting his new film quot;Five Killersquot; in the south of France last week, Ashton Kutcher encountered one of those unexpected glitches that regularly pop up on any movie set.
